Annual Scholarship
The Colonial Garden Club of Hollis awards an annual scholarship to a graduating high school senior
based two criteria:

The candidate must be accepted at an accredited university, college or community college

The candidate plans to major in Agriculture, Floriculture, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Conservation, Forestry, City Planning, Environmental Studies, Land Management, or Botany
The scholarship will be awarded by the Club’s Scholarship Committee after evaluating all
applications. Applications must include:

Full name and address

Copy of high school transcript

Name of college/university where you have been
accepted and plan to attend -
List of clubs, activities, athletics, and volunteer work

A 250-word essay outlining how you hope to apply
your future skills/abilities or future college/career
goals in an effective and responsible manner to
impact your community for the better -
Two letters of recommendation

Congratulations to Emmeline Haviland, the Garden Club’s 2025 scholarship recipient. Emmeline graduated from Nashua North High School on 2025 and will be studying Environmental Science at the University of Georgia.
2026 Application deadline is April 8, 2026
Hollis/Brookline students should submit to their guidance department.
